Bring along the whanau, rope in the friends, bribe your neighbours with some kai and come and help 'Keep Tutukaka Beautiful' with beach cleanups. The simple act of picking up, sorting and recording litter from our beaches, rivers and stormwater catch-pits has a huge impact on our environment and community. We are working towards contributing our data to Litter Intelligence, a nationwide program that collects litter data, provides powerful insights about the problem, and inspires widespread action for solutions
How you can help
Sign up to help with our litter clean-ups at Matapouri Bay, Ngunguru Village or Whangaumu Bay (Wellingtons Bay)! We are looking for some ambassadors that can do things like letterbox drops to let people know when we are carrying out litter patrols, as well as wombles to help us collect and sort the litter to document it!
